Today’s WOD was kick ass and in a new (old) gym! I absolutely loved the MetCon today and it hurt me pretty good. Already feeling the soreness in the body and DOMS will be pretty significant over the next couple of days. The reason you ask? Because I have not been working out the way I normally do because of the move and then working and trying to settle into a routine. With that, I know its all a bunch of excuses and you probably don’t give a shit anyways… So, with that, I will stop complaining! Great workout all together. I am having to start over with my strength program. I’ve lost a lost of strength over the last couple months not hitting weights enough. I am also planning on riding much more too. The Blue Streak (aka my road bike) is in the shop and getting a complete overhaul in the drive train. I’ve already changed out the shifter/brakes and so the bike will be pretty much all new components. I’m excited to get it back and get back on the road and start riding the miles…
Book To Read:
Olympic Weightlifting By Greg Everett… Absolutely KICKASS!!!
Olympic Weightlifting: A Complete Guide for Athletes & Coaches
419 pages that breaks down each move and adds all the supplemental exercises too. There is even a section that covers nutrition. I really like the content of the book. It covers Olympic Lifts and that’s it! Everything that will improve your snatch and your clean & jerk. You really need to pick up this book…
