WOD Type: “Practice for Open 13-1”
WOD Warm-Up:
30 minute standard warm-up for mobility. I have also added overhead squat / Snatch Preparation Routine… Mobility man stretches.
WOD Particulars:
Complete as many Rounds as needed for training of:
- 40 Burpees
- 30 75# Snatch
Today’s WOD was just a precursor to the Open 13-1 presented this evening! I was a little worried over the fact that I have a PR right now of 140# in the snatch which is only 5# more than the second round of snatches! So, I decided today to see how fast I would be able to get through the first round of burpees and snatches which was about 8 minutes. Going against the clock, I will probably be in the 7ish range…
After I completed the workout, I did a lot of practice on my snatch! Hopefully, watching all the videos there is in the Crossfit Journal, I have enough form down to just survive to a goal of 113 Reps… We shall see on Friday!
Skill Work: All I concentrated on today was mobility…

WOD Moment… Don’t be scared, look at the obstacle directly in front of you and attack it with everything you got!
