Today’s WOD was just putting in some work! I hurt my shoulder on Thursday’s workout last week and haven’t been able to hardly lift my arm up. I remained active, but nothing worthy of blogging about. I believe 50 is my mark where my body has just decided to fuck with me. No one ever said getting old was easy! I’m starting to understand why now…
I ended up climbing reservoir hill 3 times to get a good workout in and to get my breathing up too. It’s not a hard hill for me, but it is steep enough that I can get pretty winded going up it. The first time I went up, I wasn’t thinking about doing something like this. However, once on top, I thought this would make a good workout since I can’t hit the gym. To add to the workout… it was rainy pretty hard. I was soaked by the time I got back to the office. Even when it is raining, if I am outside, it makes the blues go away! I think that is key to living in the Pacific Northwest in the winter!
Book To Read:
Olympic Weightlifting By Greg Everett… Absolutely KICKASS!!!
Olympic Weightlifting: A Complete Guide for Athletes & Coaches
419 pages that breaks down each move and adds all the supplemental exercises too. There is even a section that covers nutrition. I really like the content of the book. It covers Olympic Lifts and that’s it! Everything that will improve your snatch and your clean & jerk. You really need to pick up this book…
