Today’s WOD was low intensity. It was designed to be low intensity as well. I watched Barbell Shrugged the other day and they were talking about how Crossfitters always feel like they have to kill themselves in the gym or they aren’t getting the work in. I thought, “hey, that’s me” and decided right there I needed to make a bit of a change. I’ve been really burned out over the last few month’s and it has shown in my workouts. Or lack of workouts I should say!
As you’ve seen by my lack of posting over the last few month’s. Not only have I been working out less, I’ve been sick twice since Thanksgiving. I’ve experienced continuous pain in my wrist, forearms and shoulders. Of course, the knee, hips and ankles have been screaming a lot too. Just a whole bunch of problems cropping up to put it mildly.
Anyway, enough complaining right? I’m back until my surgery for carpel tunnel relief… whenever that is! Hoping I can participate in the Crossfit Open again this year. It will make 5 years straight and the longest programming I’ve ever stuck with!
Book To Read:
Olympic Weightlifting By Greg Everett… Absolutely KICKASS!!!
Olympic Weightlifting: A Complete Guide for Athletes & Coaches
419 pages that breaks down each move and adds all the supplemental exercises too. There is even a section that covers nutrition. I really like the content of the book. It covers Olympic Lifts and that’s it! Everything that will improve your snatch and your clean & jerk. You really need to pick up this book…
