Time: 1:14:15 – Wow, what a beautiful day for a ride!
Today’s WOD was played out on the back streets in Oak Harbor. I was fully planning on doing a wod in the gym today, but it was just so nice on my bike commute that I decided to turn it into an epic (felt like Spring) ride! This morning was a wet commute and a final commute to my job on base. 5 miles this morning and what a ride… Knowing full well I am ending another segment in my life.
As many of you know, I spend 20 years in the navy and joined the safety industry over the last seven years. Anyway, I’ve been hired on to Hexcel to manage their safety program in the Burlington, WA plant. Just recently last year, I was approved for my CSP certification, and now I will be focusing a large portion of my off time to studying for the ASP/CSP exams. I am hoping to get both completed this year. Considering this is the year of the Horse, I should have no problem… 🙂
In order to continue on with my blog, I have decided I will create a new segment for safety and hope it will inspire other to advance themselves in their chosen career. I mean, work is really a huge part of our life. At least in 99% of us anyway… Most of this segment will focus in two of the three areas I work in; Safety & Environment. I won’t bore you with long drawn out details, just a few tidbits to hopefully get you to be a little safer. I also want to focus on global warming as well. I will post YouTube videos of documentaries that have made a huge impact on me. So stick around!
