Working Experience and Skills

I have 28 years of experience in the safety industry. Throughout those years, I’ve been able to turn safety programs around by reducing Total Injury Recordable Rates (TRIR) through advanced safety management and serious injury prevention techniques. My responsibilities have covered several industries. I have created working practices that are safe and comply with legislation; Prepared health and safety strategies and developed internal policy and carried out risk assessments, bowties and hazops. I’ve completed thousands of regular site inspections and audits; Lead in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks; Kept records of incidents and accidents and produced statistics for managers.

My strongest assets to the companies I’ve worked for has been my ability to keep up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety regulations. I have never received any major deficiencies during various regulatory agency audits. I have a strong background in the safe disposal of hazardous substances and hazardous communications. I am a dedicated self-motivated leader with diversified experience you will want to know more about. I am currently studying for Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with a completion timeline of July 2016. Check out my 20 year navy career at my Full Resume Page!
